A quick jaunt to the mountains for some skiing, hiking, and relaxing in the lodge? Yes. A scenic drive to the coast where you can feel sand under your toes and the spray of the salty sea on your face? Yes. In the mood for a peaceful hike, surrounded by lush greenery, with the sound of waterfalls cascading softly in the background? Yes! Maybe you’re in the mood for shopping. From upscale boutiques to an eclectic assortment of consignment shops to vast sprawling multi-level shopping and outlet malls, those new threads are at your fingertips. YES! And after your days of adventure, why not enjoy one of the many local eateries featuring organic, locally grown and sourced culinary delights? YES!!

Life in Salem, Oregon provides all that and more! Salem is located in the heart of the Willamette Valley and is the cultural center for the region. The third largest city in Oregon, Salem is a unique city that values its history. Salem offers it’s residents an abundance of entertainment, shopping, culture, casual and fine dining, many weekends worth of wineries and breweries to tour, as well as plenty of opportunities to explore nature.

Salem is a place of creative energy and is home to one of Oregon’s biggest art fairs and festivals each summer. Come enjoy First Wednesdays in our bustling downtown, events which always attract featured artists and musicians. The City is also home to theaters and art galleries which present regionally recognized artists throughout the year. We invite you to learn more about and fall in love with the wonders of Oregon and other local treasures.

The team at NWHS wholeheartedly embraces the spirit of wellness that we promote to our patient and clients. What does wellness mean to us? It's getting active, spending time with family and friends, social outings and taking care of our spiritual, emotional and mental health.

Our staff were recently challenged to hit us with their best shot and submit "Welfies" (Wellness Selfies) to inspire others to be well (and maybe win some cool prizes along the way). Check out the pics below and get to know our awesome crew!
