HOST

Since 1982 the HOST (Homes Offering Shelter to Teens) Youth & Family Program has been offering shelter and supportive services for runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

HOST offers:

  • Case Management
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Family Mediation
  • Counseling
  • Parent Education
  • Family Life Skills

HOST also sponsors a Transitional Living Program designed to teach youth ages 16 through 21 how to live an independent life. At TLP our young clients learn essential like skills, job readiness, and completion of education.

Northwest Human Services HOST Program is the only shelter of its size serving runaway and homeless youth between Portland and Eugene.

“I don't know what would have been of me if it wasn't for the HOST Program... As I look back, I realize how the HOST Program helped me develop the discipline and self-control that I needed to put my life together... It's nice to know that other kids are going through what I did have a place like HOST Program that they can rely on.”

Crystina Blaze, a former NWHS HOST Program client
