Mental Health Counselor (LCSW) - West Salem Mental Health Clinic

We are seeking a highly competent behavioral health professional to work with our mental health team at the West Salem Clinic Mental Health department. Master's Degree in counseling, social work or other mental health field; graduate coursework theory, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders; and at least one year of experience required. LCSW required. Position is full-time with competitive salary and excellent benefits.

 

Assistant Youth Shelter Worker - HOST Youth and Family Program

We have an on call position available at our HOST (Homes Offering Shelter to Teens) Youth & Family Program. Assists in the responsibility for client supervision, direct care, safety, and security in the HOST youth shelter.  Opportunity to develop a unique skill-set concerning how to engage youth through positive youth development and assist in providing crisis intervention, referral to supportive services, re-connecting youth with their school and community, and making a significant impact on the lives of youth and their community.  The HOST Youth & Family Program provides temporary and long-term shelter and supportive services to runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth ages 11-17 yrs, by promoting positive youth development and empowering youth through crisis intervention, case management, family mediation, counseling, life skills and parent education. The ideal candidate will have education in psychology, sociology, human development, education, criminal justice or related field.  Must have experience working with youth and valid driver’s license with proof of current automobile insurance.


Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (PA-C)

Seeking a highly competent individual to work with our friendly team providing professional medical services to underserved patients in a primary care setting. Located at our West Salem Clinic. Ideal candidate will be team oriented with good interpersonal communication skills and able to work flexible hours. Licensed to practice in the State of Oregon with prescriptive authority and DEA certificate is required. Previous experience in community health preferred. Spanish/English fluency a plus. Registered Nurse

Seeking an energetic, highly competent individual to work with a friendly, fun-loving team providing expert medical care to underserved patients in our West Salem Clinic. Ideal candidate will possess clinical expertise in an outpatient environment and triage. Oregon Nursing License, and a current CPR certification is required. Spanish/English fluency a plus but not required. Shelter Worker
- HOAP


We have an on-call position available at our HOAP (Homeless Outreach Advocacy Project) Program in our Safe Haven Short-term shelter. Provide support & services needed to facilitate Safe Haven shelter access, obtaining & keeping permanent housing. Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science field; or a combination of at least three year’s relevant work, education, training or experience required. Must be able to work flexible hours, some on-call and shift work.


Dental Hygienist - West Salem Dental Clinic


Seeking an energetic, highly competent individual to work with a friendly, fun-loving team to provide expert dental cleaning & hygienist services to patients in our West Salem Clinic Dental Office. Registered dental hygienist licensed to practice in the State of Oregon required. Previous work experience desirable. Bilingual in English & Spanish a plus, but is not required. NWHS offers a competitive salary depending on experience and excellent benefits.

Crisis Intervention Worker On-Call

We have an on-call position available at our Crisis & Information Hotline program.  This position provides telephone and walk-in crisis intervention, triage, referrals and advocacy based on client’s assessed needs. Hours vary according to the needs of the program and availability of the worker. Current enrollment in, or course completion in social services or related field and experience working with crisis intervention preferred. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including various shifts. Ability to use appropriate problem solving and decision making skills. Must we willing to complete a minimum of 32 hours crisis intervention training.  Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, but not required.

Knowledge & ability to perform patient care duties, ability to work a rotating schedule, and current CPR certification is required. Certified Medical Assistant and fluency in Spanish preferred but not required. Position is full time with excellent benefits.


Physician - West Salem Clinic


We have full-time position for an Oregon licensed Family Practice physician, with OB preferred, at our community health clinic. Northwest Human Services offers a competitive salary, an excellent paid time off plan, a matching 401(K) retirement plan, and health insurance. Positions also include a generous performance based incentive plan, moving expense reimbursement, and sign-on bonus. Our clinic sites are eligible for NHSC Loan Repayment Program.
